What is Art Basel Paris 2026?
Art Basel Paris is the French edition of the Art Basel fair, held under the restored glass roof of the Grand Palais. It presents modern and contemporary works from leading international galleries, with a public programme that extends to sites around the city. The fair week also brings a busy calendar of museum openings, gallery evenings and private events across Paris.
How do you get to the Grand Palais by chauffeur?
The Grand Palais stands between the Champs-Élysées and the Seine in the 8th arrondissement. Roads around the Champs-Élysées and the Pont Alexandre III can be congested at fair opening and closing times, and security perimeters may affect where cars can stop. A chauffeur can use the nearest permitted drop-off point and meet you at an agreed spot afterwards. From Saint-Germain or the Marais, allow around 15 to 25 minutes; from Charles de Gaulle Airport, around 45 minutes to an hour.
Planning your day
- Buy tickets online in advance, as on-site sales are not guaranteed.
- Plan a short list of galleries to visit first, as the fair is large.
- Agree a collection point on a quieter side street near the Grand Palais.
- Leave time for evening openings at museums and galleries across Paris.
