The Engadin Skimarathon is held every year on the second Sunday of March. In 2027 that is Sunday 14 March. The 42 km cross-country course runs from Maloja over the frozen lakes of the Upper Engadine to S-chanf.
What is the Engadin Skimarathon?
It is one of the largest cross-country ski races in the world, with thousands of participants skiing past St. Moritz, Pontresina and Zuoz. The mass start on the frozen Lake Sils is one of the great sights of winter sport.
How do you plan transport for a point-to-point race?
Because the race starts and ends in different villages, you need a plan for both. Your chauffeur can take you to Maloja in the early morning and then meet you in S-chanf after the finish, while supporters can be driven to viewing points along the route.
Planning race day
- Register early, as places are limited.
- Check start times for your category.
- Arrange your finish pick-up in S-chanf.
- Pack warm, dry clothes for after the race.
