Midsummer Eve, Midsommarafton, is always celebrated on the Friday between 19 and 25 June. In 2027 it falls on Friday 25 June.
How do Swedes celebrate Midsummer?
Midsummer is one of the biggest days of the Swedish year. People wear flower crowns, dance around the maypole, eat pickled herring, new potatoes and strawberries, and celebrate the long light evenings. Many Stockholmers leave for the archipelago or the countryside, while the open-air museum Skansen on Djurgården hosts a traditional celebration in the city.
How do you get to the celebrations by chauffeur?
