The nativity fair on Via San Gregorio Armeno opens in November 2026, with local reports giving 1 November, and runs until Epiphany, 6 January 2027. The artisans' workshops are open all year, but the street is at its busiest in December.
What is San Gregorio Armeno famous for?
The narrow street, barely 200 metres long, is lined with workshops where artisans craft presepi, Neapolitan nativity scenes recreating 18th-century Naples with intricate figures and tiny details. Alongside saints and shepherds, you will find figures of footballers, politicians and celebrities, a long Neapolitan tradition.
How do you visit by chauffeur?
San Gregorio Armeno is in the UNESCO-listed historic centre, where streets are narrow and traffic is restricted. Your chauffeur will drop you on Via Duomo or near Spaccanapoli, a short walk away, and collect you later. Naples airport is around 20 minutes away.
Planning your visit
- Go early in the day for fewer crowds.
