In Spain, the Three Kings, rather than Father Christmas, traditionally bring children their presents on the night of 5 January. The parade, with floats, music and costumed characters, is a highlight of the Christmas season for families. On 6 January, families share roscón de Reyes, a ring-shaped cake.
How do you travel in Marbella during the parade?
Central streets such as Avenida Ricardo Soriano close during the parade, and traffic in the centre is slow. Your chauffeur will drop you near a good viewing point and collect you afterwards outside the closed area. If you are travelling to Málaga airport that evening, allow extra time.
