What is Wimbledon 2027?
Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and the only Grand Slam played on grass. Its traditions, from the all-white clothing rule for players to strawberries and cream, make it one of the highlights of the British summer. The ladies' and gentlemen's singles finals are played on Centre Court on the final weekend.
How do you get to the All England Club by chauffeur?
The All England Club is on Church Road in Wimbledon. During the Championships, traffic and parking restrictions apply in the surrounding streets, and roads near the grounds are busy throughout the day. A chauffeur can drop you at a permitted point close to the gates and collect you from an agreed spot after play. From central London, the drive usually takes around 40 minutes to an hour; from Heathrow Airport, around 30 to 45 minutes.
Planning your day
- Check the order of play the evening before.
- Bring layers and a waterproof for changeable weather.
- Agree a collection point outside the local traffic restrictions.
- Allow extra travel time on the busiest days of the first week.
