Valencia's Fallas festival reaches its main days from 15 to 19 March 2027, culminating in the Cremà, when the giant monuments are burned on the night of San José, Friday 19 March.
What is Las Fallas 2027?
Las Fallas is Valencia's best-known festival and is inscribed on UNESCO's list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Hundreds of large satirical sculptures, the fallas, are built in squares and streets across the city. The festival's main days bring daily mascletàs, the thunderous firework displays in Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the flower offering to the Virgin, night-time fireworks and, finally, the burning of the monuments.
How do you get to Plaza del Ayuntamiento by chauffeur?
During Fallas, many streets in central Valencia are closed to traffic and crowds are very large, especially around Plaza del Ayuntamiento at mascletà time. A chauffeur can drop you at a permitted point outside the closures and meet you at an agreed spot afterwards. From Valencia Airport, the drive to the edge of the centre usually takes around 20 to 30 minutes, more during the festival.
Planning your day
- Check the official programme for mascletà and Cremà times.
- Expect road closures and plan routes with your chauffeur.
- Bring ear protection for the mascletà, especially for children.
- Book hotels and restaurants well in advance.
