The panigiri of Agia Kyriaki is held in Mykonos Town on 6 and 7 July. Vespers with the blessing of bread take place on the evening of 6 July, followed by a feast for everyone.
What is a panigiri?
A panigiri is a traditional Greek religious festival celebrating a church's saint's day. After the service, the community shares food and wine and dances to live traditional music. At Agia Kyriaki, expect boiled lamb, kremidopita onion pie and kopanisti cheese, offered to all.
How do you get to the panigiri by chauffeur?
Chora's lanes are pedestrian and summer traffic is heavy. Your chauffeur will drop you at the edge of town and collect you later in the night. It is a refreshing contrast to the island's beach clubs and an authentic side of Mykonos.
