The panigiri of Agios Fanourios is celebrated on 26 and 27 August at chapels in Chora and Ano Mera, with vespers on the evening of 26 August.
Who is Agios Fanourios?
Agios Fanourios is the saint Greeks pray to for finding lost things. On his feast, people bake fanouropita, a spiced cake shared after the service, followed by wine and music. It is one of the late-summer panigiria that show the island's traditional side.
