The programme usually includes a torchlight procession on 29 December, concerts in Princes Street Gardens, ceilidhs and candlelit concerts on 31 December, and the ticketed Street Party, which counts down to the midnight fireworks above the castle. How do you get to Princes Street by chauffeur?
Princes Street and much of the city centre are closed to traffic on New Year's Eve, with ticketed entry points for the Street Party. A chauffeur can drop you at a permitted point outside the closures, such as in the New Town, and collect you from an agreed location after midnight. Demand for transport after the fireworks is extremely high. From Edinburgh Airport, allow around 25 to 35 minutes to the city centre.
