The EDP Porto Marathon 2026 is on Sunday 8 November. The marathon, 10K and 6K races all start at 8am near Praça Gonçalves Zarco and SEA LIFE Porto, with the finish at the Queimódromo next to the Parque da Cidade.
What is the Porto Marathon like?
The Porto Marathon follows the Atlantic coast and the Douro river, passing the Ribeira and the port wine lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia. It is one of Portugal's leading marathons and attracts many international runners each November.
How do you get to the start by chauffeur?
The start and finish are by the sea at Castelo do Queijo, around 15 to 20 minutes by car from the city centre. Roads along the coast and the river close during the race. Your chauffeur can drop you near the start well before 8am and meet you after the finish at an agreed point.
