What is the Street Parade?
The Street Parade describes itself as the world's largest techno festival. It is free to attend and draws visitors from across Europe. After the parade, official after-parties continue at venues across the city late into the night.
How do you travel in Zurich on Street Parade day?
The lakeside roads from Utoquai through Bellevue to Mythenquai close for the day, and the city centre is extremely busy. Your chauffeur will drop you on the edge of the closed area and agree a meeting point for later. If you are staying at a lakeside hotel, check access with the hotel in advance.
Planning your day
- Check the official route and timings before the day.
- Choose a pick-up point away from the lake.
- Book after-party transfers in advance.
- Allow extra time for Zurich Airport transfers that weekend.
