Chauffeur service in Venice
Luxura provides private chauffeurs in Venice for transfers from Marco Polo (VCE) and Treviso (TSF) airports to Piazzale Roma, hourly hire across the Veneto, Prosecco wine days and long-distance rides to Cortina d'Ampezzo, Verona and Lake Garda.
Private chauffeur service across Venice
Venice's historic centre has no roads, so cars stop at Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto, where travellers continue by water taxi, vaporetto or on foot. Hotels across the city arrange water taxis to their own landings, and our chauffeurs coordinate the handover with them. Mestre, on the mainland, hosts many offices and business hotels close to the motorways.
Marco Polo Airport is about 13 km by road from Piazzale Roma, while Treviso Airport is around 35 minutes away. The city is busiest from spring to October and during Carnival in February. The Biennale runs for much of the year, and the Venice Film Festival takes place on the Lido from late August.

Getting around Venice, the easy way
How do chauffeur transfers from Venice airports work?
Your chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall at Marco Polo or Treviso with a name sign and drives you to Piazzale Roma, the last point reachable by car. From there you continue by water taxi, vaporetto or on foot to your hotel. If you prefer, you can take a water taxi directly from Marco Polo's own dock, and we can meet you on departure.
- Meet & greet at VCE or TSF
- Drop-off at Piazzale Roma
- Water taxi handover coordinated

How do chauffeurs help during Venice's major events?
Carnival in February, the Biennale, which runs for much of the year, and the Venice Film Festival on the Lido from late August all bring large crowds and high demand for transport. We coordinate airport pick-ups, timed drop-offs at Piazzale Roma and onward water taxi connections. For Film Festival guests, cars can reach the Lido by the car ferry from Tronchetto.

- Film Festival on the Lido

How do you plan a Prosecco wine day from Venice?
The Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes north of Venice. The scenic wine road links Conegliano and Valdobbiadene through steep vineyards and small villages. A full-day chauffeur lets your group visit two or three producers with lunch in between, while nobody needs to drive. Booking tastings in advance is recommended.

What day trips from Venice work by private car?
The Riviera del Brenta, lined with Palladian villas, leads to Padua, about 45 minutes from Piazzale Roma. Verona is around 1 hour 30 minutes west, and Lake Garda a little further. In winter and summer, Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Dolomites is about 2 hours north. Asolo and Bassano del Grappa make an easy half-day trip.

Cars cannot enter Venice's historic centre, but hourly and full-day chauffeur hire is available from Piazzale Roma or Mestre for trips across the Veneto, such as Prosecco tastings, villa visits on the Riviera del Brenta, or meetings in Padua and Treviso.
Your chauffeur drives you to Piazzale Roma and helps with your luggage to the water taxi rank or your hotel's boat landing. If your hotel has booked a water taxi, we coordinate the timing so it is waiting when you arrive.
